Shop Policies at Boutique Guitar Exchange

At Boutique Guitar Exchange we appreciate your business and we want you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase. While we make every effort to ship purchased items immediately, please allow up to 48 hours for some shipments of larger, or more expensive items. Not all of our instruments or amplifiers have shipping boxes and it can take 48 hours to make sure we have the correctly sized box so your purchase arrives safely.

48 Hour Return Policy on standard purchases for new items.
• In the event a return or exchange is necessary, you must contact us within 48 hours from the time you receive your item to obtain a return merchandise authorization number (RMA) and return shipping instructions.
• All return shipments are paid by the sender. We do not supply a return shipping label.
• RMA numbers must be clearly written on the shipping label. Any package sent back without a clearly visible RMA may be refused.
• Returned merchandise MUST be shipped within 48 hours of receiving the RMA, come back undamaged, unregistered, and in the same condition that it was shipped out. If it does not meet these requirements the item may be refused.
• A copy of the original sales receipt must accompany returned merchandise along with ALL original packaging, paperwork, accessories, etc.
• Any items not conforming to this policy will be subject to a restocking fee of 20%.
• Refunds will be issued minus ALL shipping fees, Credit Card fees (6% for Visa, MC, Discover, PayPal; 20% for AMEX) and a standard 10% restocking fee.
• Restocking fees may be waived at our discretion for an in store credit or exchanges for items in stock.

Exceptions to Our Return Policy - Used and Consignments:
• Used and Consignment instruments are sold As Is, and are considered a non-refundable final sale.
• Items labeled as SALE are a non-refundable final sale.
• Any used gear (No warranty is offered for used or consigned equipment).
• Extreme temperatures during shipping can cause checking in the lacquer finish of some guitars. While we try our best to strategically ship so instruments do not spend extended periods of time in warehouses and non-temperature regulated places, we are NOT responsible for damage to the finish of a guitar due to weather checking during shipping.
No refunds will be granted if shipments are delayed by customers.
No refunds will be granted for shipments delayed by shipping companies.
No refunds will be granted for damage incurred after the instrument leaves our store in the condition in which it was sold. We keep detailed photographs of all instruments and items in our store for condition verification.
